Ms. FMU applications being accepted

Participants are being sought for the annual Ms. FMU Pageant to be held 7 p.m. March 28 in Chapman Auditorium.
In order to participate, students must fill out and return applications to UC 205 by 3 p.m. Monday, March 17. Students who are enrolled in at least 12 credit hours, have an overall 2.5 grade point average and plan to re-enroll next school year are eligible for the competition.
Candidates must have attended Francis Marion for at least one semester prior to spring 2008.
Interested students also must attend a mandatory overview meeting 3 p.m. Monday, March 17 in UC 218. At that time, students will sign up for an interview with the selection committee.
Mandatory rehearsals will take place 5 p.m. March 24-27. Attendance also is required for any additional rehearsals.
Contestants will be judged based on an interview, their pageant performance and their overall ability to represent FMU.
Two runners-up and a Ms. Congeniality also will be named. As Ms. FMU, the winner will be expected to represent the university in various ways throughout her reign.
