BB&T sponsors golf tournament

President Dr. Fred Carter hits a shot during the FMU Foundation/Alumni Golf Classic sponsored by BB&T at the Country Club of South Carolina.
Twenty-eight teams with a total of 118 players participated in the FMU Foundation/Alumni Golf Classic recently, sponsored by BB&T at the Country Club of South Carolina.

Proceeds from the event benefited the Thomas C. Davidson Scholarship and the LeRoy "Pete" Peterson Scholarship.

The event, a modified captain's choice format, also included a luncheon, and the Pee Dee Pig Pickin' cookout was held after play.

Cash prizes were awarded to the top three teams, and a hole-in-one contest was held.
