Forum will help students get fit

Residence Life will sponsor Feelin' Great in '08 at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 17 in Lowrimore Auditorium to encourage healthy lifestyles.
The forum will feature guest speakers Dr. Rebecca Lawson, director of the counseling and testing center; Dr. Janis McWayne, assistant professor of health education and coordinator of the health program; and Derrick Young, assistant coordinator of recreational sports.
The speakers will discuss the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle in order to prosper academically, physically, emotionally and mentally. The program also will highlight campus resources to show how students can stay fit. Students will have a chance to participate in group activities, and there will be giveaways and healthy snacks.
