Lions presented pins by district governor

Jim Varn, Lions District 32-C governor, presented Lions International Presidential Pins to Tara Thiry, FMU chapter president; Courtney Thiry, Lions board member; and Jennifer Gaskins, incumbent president, recently at an FMU Lions Club Meeting.
Florence Lions Agnes Folk and Steve Webber also were recognized during the April 3 meeting for their support in establishing the chapter on campus.
The organization recently raised funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk to Cure on campus and sponsored a canned food drive for McLeod Hospice in November.
The group also hosted two Lions Youth Exchange Program students last summer.
The Lions currently are accepting applications for fall membership.
