FMU hires new assistant compliance director

Athletic Department officials have announced that Jason Orning will replace Kit Alewine as assistant athletic director for compliance and academic support.
Orning will monitor athletic and academic personnel to ensure that the school maintains institutional control of all athletic activities, which includes day-to-day responsibility for those aspects of athletic operations regulated by NCAA rules, recruiting and administration of financial assistance to student-athletes.
In addition to ensuring that university officials are continually updated on NCAA rules, he also will chair the school's Compliance Committee.
